My Summer Essentials
Basically , the key is to keep it as natural as possible for summer. Why keep it light? During summer as we know, it can get very hot outside and no one wants to be wearing heavy makeup in the heat. Personally, I feel I would be suffocating my skin which would lead to more skin irritations - no bueno. However, if you like to wear heavier makeup, even during the summer and it makes you feel good, then to each their own. As long as you feel good, that is all that matters.
Summer Essential Goodies: The picture below represents my personal collection. You can tailer this to fit your own needs and makeup you currently have.
What you will need: *tailer to fit your own needs* *keep each layer light and blend each product in*
1. Moisturizer
- Keep it light, especially if you plan on wearing it along with makeup
2. Sunscreen
- Keep it light so it does not make your makeup slip off. Sunscreen is so important for your skin's protection
3. BB cream
- This is a great way to cancel any redness without using a heavy full coverage foundation or concealer. *can use mineral powder as a skin base as well*
4. Cream blush
- Try finding one that is long wearing or can be used as a multipurpose product.
*if cannot wear cream, try and wear a powder*
*If want to prolong cream, layer on top a powder blush to prolong the longevity of your cheek products*
5. Cream eye shadow
- Easy and quick
-Try to find one that is waterproof
6. Metallic eyeshadow (bronze/rose gold)
- Brightens your eyes and adds a bit of summer-time glam to your look
7. Waterproof mascara
- Most people do not want to have raccoon eyes - even in the summer
8. Bronzer
- Apply bronzer to the highest portions of the face to add warmth and further enhance your bronzy glow
- Layer bronzer and blush to help create a glow
9. Powder
- Use either a mineral powder or regular setting powder to set makeup
10. Lip balm
- Apply lip balm with SPF to protect your lips
