L'Oréal LA PALETTE NUDE 2 - First Impressions Review!
Hey Everyone!
I was shopping in Walmart recently and found the L'Oréal La Palette Nude 2. I had heard a lot about this product from other bloggers and videos on YouTube; I knew I had to try it. When I first saw this palette, I thought this would be a great dupe for the Urban Decay NAKED 3 palette. I did not pick up the first nude palette, which was a bronzy and neutral. I will elaborate more on this later in this post.

Photos and Swatches!
Shades: 1, 2, 3, 4
*shade 1 is a perfect subtle highlight - almost like a candlelit glow
*shade 3 is perfect for contouring the lid and adding depth
Shades: 8, 7, 6, 5
Shades: 9, 10
*my favourite shades to work with
Pros:
- packaging - love the mirror, the eyeshadow labels on the back and eyeshadow combination suggestions
- brush - I appreciate L'Oréal for providing a brush
- pigmentation - surprisingly good for drugstore
- they blend very easily, almost like butter
- very easy to build up the colour without looking patchy
- price - compared to other palettes, this is very affordable
- colour - they all blend well together and compliment one another beautifully
- create lots of looks - perfect if on a budget or not!
- longevity, they lasted all day on me - will vary from person to person
Cons:
- eyeshadow fallout - initially a lot of fallout but if tap brush to get rid of excess product, this problem should be eliminated
- price - compared to other drugstore palettes, this is quite expensive; price ranging from $23 CA to $30 CA
- still one of the best palettes available in the drugstore right now
BIG QUESTION:
Is this a dupe for Naked 3? Nope! However, this palette would be a fantastic compliment to Urban Decay's Naked 3. L'Oréal La Palette Nude 2 is similar in terms of the shades with Urban Decay's Naked 3 but they are not the same; Urban Decay's Naked 3 has more rosy undertones than L'Oréal La Palette Nude 2, which has more plum undertones. I do not have Naked 2 to compare this with so I cannot say this is a dupe for that either.
Why I did not pick up the L'Oréal La Palette Nude 1? I did not purchase that palette because I was not sure about the quality of the product and did not want to waste money. However, I am very much interested in purchasing the L'Oréal La Palette Nude 1 and sharing that product on my blog. I am curious to see if that is a good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette.
Overall, I really enjoy this palette. It is so great to see fantastic products coming into the drugstores. A lot of other bloggers and bloggers and mentioned this and I hope to see more coming very soon. I would gladly recommend this product to anyone, especially beginners as it is easy to work with and relatively inexpensive compared to other palettes in general. I wish I had a palette like this back when I was first started to play with makeup.
