NYX Intense Butter Gloss Haul and Review

Ever since I first heard about NYX's Intense Butter Gloss range, I wanted to try them. The swatches online via blogs and videos had me hooked; their very intense glossy sheen and rich pigmentation was something I rarely found in a lip product. I waited a very long time to purchase them because they were hard to find here in Canada and if I did find them, someone had tampered with them. Now since I have found them, the wait has been worth it

Shades:
Tres Leches:
- according to NYX website, this shade is described as a "nude"
- it is very similar to MAC Kinda Sexy, Milani Nude Creme
- perfect palace of peach and pink
- great nude shade as it works for almost everyone
Toasted Marshmellow:
- according to NYX website, this shade is described as a "mauve purple"
- it is very similar to MAC Captive, MAC Amorous and Stila's Aria (has more mauve than Aria does)
- perfect shade for fall and winter or to create a glossy version of that 90's lip/kylie jenner shade
Spice Cake:
- according to NYX website, this shade is described as a "deep plum"
- it is very similar to MAC Rebel
- perfect shade for fall and winter
NYX Intense Butter Gloss Applicator - very similar to the Stila Liquid Lipsticks

Pros:
- price - very inexpensive - $6 - $7
- intense glossy sheen
- "buttery smooth"
- rich pigmentation - one swipe only
- applicator allows for easy application
- long wearing - depending on the shade, 6- 8 hours
- great for travel
- moisturizing
- does not accentuate dry cracked lips
- fantastic shade selection
- when gloss fades, leaves a lipstick-like texture on the lips
- if gloss is too intense, can blot away and maintain colour
Cons:
- deeper shades require a lip liner
- may feather outside the lip line
- if apply too much, they will smear
Overall, I am really enjoying this product! For such an inexpensive product, the quality is outstanding. They have a lot of shades that I cannot normally find in the drugstore. I think this is fantastic because this allows people to step out of their makeup comfort zone and experiment without the guilt. These would be perfect for back to school or for the every day working girl. Have you tried this product? Definitely give these gorgeous lip products a try!
